About Us

Brown Schrepferman & Co. has been “Building Colorado” since 1889.  Our extensive experience with many prominent Denver buildings makes us an excellent choice as your prime contractor for your up coming projects.   Recent historical rehabilitation projects include masonry and window restorations at 12 Denver Public Schools.  We also replaced the windows at Union Station to match their original design.

Brown-Schrepferman is a locally and privately owned company that can provide personal attention and considerable construction experience along with a personal philosophy to quality that you won’t get from larger firms.  Our principals represent over seventy-five years of building experience. This longevity and commitment to our company add to the team effort that we bring to every project.

Brown-Schrepferman has always been a Commercial General Contractor in the Denver metropolitan area.  We offer Design Build, Design Assist and Competitive Bidding Services.  Subcontractors that we solicit bids from include many reputable firms that are well established in the Denver Metro area.

To further our commitment to our clients, we are now LEED Accredited Professionals and committed to working with the community to “build green” for our generation and the generations to come.  Bob Brown, Senior Estimator and President along with John Musso, Project Superintendent completed the CSU Green Building course in 2008 and are ready to incorporate this knowledge into future projects.

We hold contractor license #A70 with the City and County of Denver which is the oldest active license remaining with the city.  In addition we were one of the original members of the Associated General Contractors and have had three owners serving as presidents: C.M. Schrepferman in 1934, J. Alvin Schrepferman from 1943-1945 and James Brown in 1973.
